Rehabilitation of the CAN FELIPA façades, Barcelona

The project begins by detecting and analyzing the severity of existing pathologies over the entire envelope of the Can Felipa building. As a result of this first analysis, a definitive more exhaustive diagnosis is developed, in which the solutions adopted are divided according to the area of action: the historic building and the adjacent vertical communications core. In the historic building, the project aims to recover the affected parts of the façade with a choice of solutions and materials that maintain the existing aesthetics, respecting the original construction. The constructive solution for the building that houses the communications core consists of the replacement of the steel profiles by aluminum profiles for the creation of a new single volume with glass curtain wall enclosure.
